UDAN Yatri caf to be introduced in two Airports within a month: Union Aviation Minister

HYDERABAD, Mar 2 : Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Sunday said that a plan is on to introduce UDAN Yatri Caf at least in two Airports within a month in the country.
Addressing a press conference here, Rammohan said “The UDAN Yatri Cafe is a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of inclusive flying, making air travel more convenient, accessible and affordable for all.
The cafe will offer all connected passengers access to hygienic refreshments like water bottle for Rs 10, Tea for Rs 10, Coffee for Rs 20, Samosa for Rs 20, and local Sweets for Rs 20.
After observing record monthly sales at Kolkata Airport, where the first UDAN Yatri Cafe was inaugurated in December last year, he said recently the UDAN Yatri Cafe second facility was opened at Chennai Airport.
The UDAN Yatri Cafe aligns with the spirit of the UDAN scheme (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik). He said the facility would be extended nationwide in a phased manner.
In future, this facility will also be introduced in Hyderabad Airport, Rammohan said.
Highlighting the growth of the aviation sector under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he claimed “Since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, a revolution has taken place in the country’s aviation sector.
” In the last ten years, the number of Airports in India has scaled up to 150 from 79 ,” he stated that requests from small towns are received for Airports.
Regarding seaplane operations connectivity across key routes, he said all trails are over and operations are to be started in April, he informed.
However in Telangana, the seaplane operations will start initially from Hyderabad-Srisailam, he added.
