Let’s Nurture The Mother Nature

The “victory of good over evil” signifies that goodness, righteousness, and virtue will ultimately triumph over cruelty and immorality. The story of Shri Rama’s victory over Ravana in the Ramayana is celebrated as Dussehra. This victory was a joint effort of many creatures of nature including Vanar Sena ( Monkeys), Jamavant ( Bear), Jatayu ( Vulture) and many more. It simply means that one thing which we all have in common is Mother Earth and we all are interdependent on each other. Also during the Vanvaas of Shri Ram we know the story of Shabri Mata offering Ber to Lord Ram. Sita fal a very sweet fruit is also full of vitamins and minerals is named on Sita Mata’s name. So be it humans, animals, birds, plants and trees. All have immense contribution in the nature and the same can also be extracted in one way from the Epic story of Ramayana. Hence as today we celebrate the World Environment Day, we should recognise each and every creature of nature around us in a way that neither we get any harm from them nor we provide any harm to them as well. Since the Mother Earth is one which we all species have in common and we all have equal right to live together. However the act of human not only endangers all other species but also shows the cruelty towards them. Making of our homes cuts many trees and makes many birds homeless, also increases air pollution to inhale for all. Factories and Industries are our lifeline but are completely against the eco system polluting land air and water. Vehicles including air travel not only contribute in pollution but are also responsible for depleting ozone layer reflecting the direct exposure from sun without filter. Hence we the humans can also say that among all the other species we have conquered under water, water, Land and air. Research is going on to find existence of nature in other planets too where we also want to coexist.

In Durga Shaptshati there are two demons named as Shumb and Nishumb two powerful brothers who sought to dominate Devaloka (the heavenly realm). Their wish was to become the supreme and conquer everywhere including Swarga Loka (heaven), Bhu Loka (earth), and Patal Loka (underworld). Many of their commanders including Dumralochan, Chand Mund and Raktbeej with supreme powers were perished in no time by Goddess Maa Durga and all others were also saved by the killing of Shumb and Nishumb.

So hence we the humans have to rethink before our actions that what will be the consequences, will there be any harm of our actions thinking of all creatures of nature as one. We also need to think upon our wishes that do we all need what we desire as Shumb and Nishumb desired, result we all know.

Nature is not against us but definitely against the one whose intentions are cruel and destructive.

Today also we find the perished existence of Dinosaur in many ways around us.

Hence at the end I would like to remind each one of us the time of Covid 19 in which all other species enjoyed tha nature at their best and we humans were locked inside our homes. We also lost many of our close and dear ones. The Nature has the tendency to auto clean and put unwanted things in trash. We cannot stay without our dependencies on nature but we should contribute back in multiples to balance. Hence we the humans should be the part of Solution and not Pollution so that we create a great future for our generations to come.
