JAMMU, June 17: In a significant achievement for cricket in the Union Territory, three promising (under-19) players from the Power-20 Cricket Association J&K State have been selected to play club cricket in Birmingham, England. The selected players are Naman Sharma, Gurmendr Kumar and Ankshit Sharma will play in the Power T20 Cricket International Championship. They will play 12 matches over a 20-day tour.
According to Association General Secretary Ajay Kumar Sharma, the players were picked based on their outstanding performance during a recent cricket championship held at Murshidabad, Kolkata. Of the three selected, two players are from Kathua and one from Jammu.
This opportunity marks a major milestone in their budding cricket careers and reflects the growing recognition of young talent from Jammu and Kashmir at the international level.
