Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament starts at Baggar

DODA, July 12: Youth Services & Sports, Zone Assar here today organized the opening ceremony of Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament for Under-19 Boys and Girls at Government High School Baggar.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by the Headmaster HS Baggar, Sanjeet Kumar, who appreciated the department’s initiatives and encouraged the young athletes to participate with dedication, discipline and true sportsmanship.
A total of 132 students from three Higher Secondary Schools of Zone Assar – HSS Khellani, HSS Assar, and HSS Goha participated enthusiastically in various sports events.
The competitions held included Volleyball (Boys), Kabaddi (Boys & Girls), Carrom, Yoga and Chess, providing a platform to the students to showcase their talent, teamwork and physical fitness.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Incharge ZPEO Zone Assar, Anil Kumar.
It is pertinent to mention here that this tournament also served as a trial where the best-performing students will be shortlisted to represent Zone Assar at inter-zonal level competitions.
