3 drug-peddlers held with heroin

POONCH, May 6: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers in Poonch, a highway patrol vehicle of police nabbed three drug-peddlers and recovered 14 gms of heroin from their possession at a village near Poonch today.
Led by SI Mohd Maqbool, the police party intercepted an Alto bearing Reg No. JK12B 6094 near Shindra, with three persons onboard. During enquiry, they disclosed their name as Zubair Khan, son of Mohd Sharief, son of Mohd Zabir, son of Mohd Rashid and Waheed Khan, son of Mohd Ikhlaq, hailing from Morha Bachai in Surankote.
During their personal search about 14 gms heroin was recovered from their possession. In this connection, a case FIR No. 55/2023 U/S 8/21/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Poonch and investigation taken up.
